Gorillas At Risk! Fighting threatens the Congo's great apes.

What are some of the effects that warring groups have had on the people, animals and environment in the Congo? How could this have been prevented? How can it now be resolved?

  2. Because of the warring groups thousands of people have been killed and even more forced to leave their homes. The gorillas are becoming even more endangered than they already were. We could have prevented all of this if the people would just stop fighting!!!

  4. I agree with Olivia. It's not fair that the apes are in the middle of a war zone! They could have prevented this by not starting the war in the first place.

  5. The apes are dying because of other people in a war zone. They are cute and harmless. What did they do to other people. Can't the war zone be held somewhere else. I mean I feel so bad for the apes because they are becoming more extinct every day because of other humans. Also I am ageeing with Ashely B. the humans are draging poor animals out of their home

  6. I agree with everyone people shouldn't have a war zone where there are wild animals. If people keep fighting there apes might become extinct.I think people should TRY to put the apes in a zoo or safe place.

  7. I agree with Ashley 100 %. We need to take care of the world including the Congo and fighting isnt going to solve anything. The apes are totally cute and harmless, we should be having a war and ruening there enviornment. And like Martin Luther King Jr. said "If we fight eye for eye and tooth for tooth, then we would be blind and toothless.

  8. I think they should have the war somewhere else. They could kill all the gorillas and gorillas could offically become extint. It isin't fair for the gorrilas to live in their norma habitat and be surrounded by danger.

  11. I totally agree with Olivia and Marisa. It's so unfair that the gorillas have to be right in the middle of a war zone! I wish there was some way we could help them. They should move there war zone to some place else or not fight at all! Poachers are so mean and they don't care if the gorillas become extinct!!
