Mimi Ausland, a sixth grader, created a web site that donates food to animal shelters each time visitors answer trivia questions correctly. Mimi loves animals, and her family has a dog, cat, hamster, fish and even a horse! What kinds of pets do you have? What are some other creative ways that people could help animals in need?
I have a black hamster (Daisy) and a black lab (Shadow). Another creative way people could donate to pets is every time a new pet is bought, to donate a bag of dog food to pets that need it. I support Mimi for helping pets that need it. She is really doing her part in helping the hungry animals.

I think that Mimi is making the right choice by having a website for this cause.Shes being a voice for the animals because they cant talk!Another way people couild help is to have a fundraiser or something like a visit to a humane society.Anyways i think it is very nice what Mimi is doing for the animals. - Amelia C.

ReplyDeleteI have a hamster, three fish, and three cats. Another creative way to help donate money or food to animals in need is you can hold a fair or something fun that you need to pay for. Then you should give half the money to the animals and half to pay for the fun thing they did.

My family has one boston terrier, Peanut, and we love her so much. I also have a fish. I think that it is great that some people are donating food to shelters and animals in need. Another way people could help animals in need is by stopping by a local shelter and playing with the animals.

I think that when Mimi helped the dogs shelter. She gave the dogs food,and to care about the animals. I felt horable about what happined to all of the animals when the animals didnot have a home.

I think we could have a fundraiser at our school to raise money to donate to shelters to buy food.I have gerbils that I got for Christmas. When people raise money they should also raise it for smaller animals like gerbils,hamsters,guinea pigs,bunnies,mice, and even rats! All kinds of animals can be pets so we should have more fundraisers like food drives,bake sales,and car washes that also raise money for smaller pets too!

I have 3 cats,1 dog,1 guniea pig.Other ways people could help shelters by donating animal beds,toys,cat litter,birthing equipment such as cloths,etc.
ReplyDeleteI think it is very great that someone would create a website that helps homeless animals. I have some animals myself. I have three mice, a fish, a dog, and a cat. Another creative way that people could help animals in need is by holding a walk-a-thon and having people pledge for you. With the money you earn, you could buy pet food, pet supplies, and/or pet toys with the money you earn. You could go around to different shelters and drop off some of the supplies you bought. Another creative way would be to work for people around your neighborhood for people that can't do much and earn money.

i think what Mimi Ausland is doing is a good idea. those pour dogs that don't have food.so what she is doing is a very helpfull for people who can't buy a lot of food for there animals.

I think that Mimi Ausland is a great person for starving animals because every time i watch t.v. i see a comerical about how every single days there are over 1000 dogs dying because they are starving of hunger and i think that is really great the Mimi Auland is starting a program for all the dogs that are dying of hunger so i think that now that he started that progam so now i hope that people are gonna join is program becausse i think that ii might when i get older and he still has the program running and now i think that people are gonna relize that there are dogs out there that need our help to survive and that if we dont help them then they are gonna die so i think that they are gonna be not so much dogs out there that are dying so thats my opoion

I have a boxer and his name is Buster. I also have a cat named Oreo. They are both very funny and they always make me smile. I would hate it if something bad ever happened to them. I think Mimi is doing a very good deed by helping all these poor animals. Animals in the shelter must feel depressed and lonely without an owner. I love animals and I hope to help them too somehow.

I think a thing people could do is donate things they don't need or adopt a pet or two i love animals so this is what i wold do. i would go to the store and bye a hole bunch of pet stuff like. beds,cat litter,food for all pets,bearthing things like rags, blankets and other things like that. this is what i would do to help out the miami pet center. My dad has a kitten named kit he thinks that people should adopt a pet off of the street to see if they are able to be adopted.

ReplyDeleteI have seven dogs but only one stays in the house. His name is Buddy. He is a setter. I would tell you the full breed but it is very hard to spell. Anyway, you could also help animals by adopting. Lots of animals have been put in bad situations. You can help and take care of them.

i have a few pets at home. i love animals! i think that if the site helped get food for the animals at a shelter that would be great! it would also be great if she got money to help them get the animals away from bad owners. i hate to see animals in pain! i wish i could help just as much!
